Job Summary
Implement developmentally appropriate activities in classrooms while supporting children's social, physical, cognitive, and language growth. Apply Missouri Childcare Licensing Standards, EHS Performance Standards, and USDA CACFP regulations to ensure health and safety. Maintain Infant Toddler CPR and First Aid certification, prepare materials, manage classroom ratios, and assist with evening meetings and events. Perform general childcare tasks including laundry, common area cleaning, and food preparation while following sanitation guidelines. Attend required meetings and trainings for Licensing, Sanitation, and EHS compliance. Work at least three shifts per month as a part-time substitute, with Monday through Friday availability subject to request.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or High School Equivalency Test (GED/HiSET)
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong computer skills
- Infant Toddler CPR and First Aid certification
- Knowledge of HS Performance Standards
- Knowledge of MO Childcare Licensing
- Knowledge of United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations and requirements
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
- Ability to learn and follow CHS policy, procedure, practice, and structure
- Medical exam and TB Assessment
- Background screening to include fingerprinting
- Ability to work at least 3 shifts per month
