Job Summary
Substation Technician role based at Ourimbah or Beresfield Depots. Inspect, install, and maintain network infrastructure and electrical equipment, prepare work sites, liaise with contacts, interpret technical documentation, and participate in emergency restoration to ensure safety, reliability, sustainability, and affordability of the network. Requires Qualified Electrician with Cert III in ESI Power Systems (or equivalent), Class C licence, and WH&S induction. Desirable MR/HR licences and OH-related experience are noted. Strong communication and teamwork skills emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Electrician – Cert III in ESI Power Systems (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in an electrical trade role within the electricity distribution or relevant industry including experience in substation related activities
- Class C drivers license
- WH&S WorkCover – General Induction
- Asbestos awareness and experience working safely with asbestos materials related to working in substations or on the network
- Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating with others, both written and verbal via a variety of mediums
- Demonstrated experience in working within a team or work crew
