Job Summary
Lead the design of new and upgraded substations including system planning, procurement support, and commissioning through energization. Coordinate with discipline groups (Grounding, Protection, Civil, SCADA), oversee junior staff, ensure compliance with codes and standards, manage project schedules, and occasionally travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years' project and design engineering experience
- ability to work in a team environment
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- PE license preferred
- travel readiness
- experience with utility or merchant power industry a plus
- ability to oversee and direct design personnel on a project team
