Job Summary
Design, engineer, test, and implement protection systems for high-voltage substations, focusing on scheme checks, auxiliary/TRIP relays, and MCCB operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable power system operation while performing stability testing, final trip tests, and live substation procedures using ABB, MICOM, and SIEMENS relays. Apply Saudi Electricity Company standards and power system protection principles to coordinate relay settings and automate substation functions. Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience; non-citizens must hold a degree awarded at least 5 years ago.
Required Qualifications
- Scheme check, Auxiliary/TRIP Relays, MCCB & meters, Protection & Control IEDs
- Stability testing, Final Trip Test, and Live Substation operations
- Working with ABB, MICOM, and SIEMENS relays
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in power systems
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in substation protection engineering
- Familiarity with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) Standards
- Strong understanding of power system protection principles, relay coordination, and substation automation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Non-citizen applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in engineering awarded at least 5 years ago
