Substation Project Manager

Job Summary
Lead the design, procurement, construction, commissioning support and energization for substations. Own scoping, budgeting, scheduling, planning, execution, monitoring and reporting of substation projects and proposals. Direct a project team of design engineers, designers, drafters and support staff, coordinating with multiple SME groups (Distributions and Transmission Studies, Grounding, Protection/Relay, Civil, SCADA Integration, Transmission Engineering, Environmental Planning, Surveying, ROW, PM/Controls) to ensure successful delivery. Serve as primary client/stakeholder interface, mentor and train project staff, and uphold ECI's quality control procedures for best-in-class project execution. Required: ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's), 10+ years of project engineering experience, 2+ years of project management/leadership experience, 2+ years in substation PM, excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to meet fast-paced schedules. A PE license is required; PMP preferred. Occasional travel and potential client-mandated background checks. The role is based in Woods Cross, UT with no explicit remote work option.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- 2+ years of demonstrated project management and leadership experience
- 2+ years of substation project management experience
- PE license in at least one US state is required
- PMP certification is preferred
- 10+ years' project engineering experience
