Job Summary
Project Manager for substations responsible for the conceptual, preliminary, and final detailed design of new, upgraded, and expanded substations, including material procurement, construction and commissioning/startup support through energization. Manages scoping, budgeting, scheduling, planning, executing, monitoring, and reporting of substation projects; leads project teams of engineers, designers, drafters, and support staff; coordinates with discipline groups to ensure successful execution; mentors and trains design staff; interfaces with clients and stakeholders; adheres to quality control procedures; occasional travel to project sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years' project engineering experience
- 2+ years of demonstrated project management and leadership experience
- PE license and PMP certification are preferred
- ability to meet fast-paced project schedules
- advanced knowledge of power engineering principles and applicable codes, standards, and design tools
