Job Summary
Manage high-voltage transmission and distribution projects by directing multiple crews, ensuring cost, progress, and schedule adherence, and overseeing safe, cost-effective delivery from pre-construction through closeout. Assist the business unit with monthly forecasts by the 10th, review personnel evaluations and CDL requirements, and attend weekly foremen and monthly safety meetings. Ensure compliance with OSHA codes, review all accidents, and follow up on complaints from owners, the public, or landowners. May work in storm restoration operations to rebuild damaged power systems. Requires 3+ years of powerline construction experience, a bachelor's degree, PMP certification, and proficiency in project management software. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel and work extended hours are essential.
Required Qualifications
- minimum of 3 years of powerline construction experience
- in-depth knowledge of OSHA codes and standards
- ability to manage all aspects of project execution from pre-construction through closeout
- strong leadership, technical, and organizational skills
- ability to direct multiple crews and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours as required
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Construction Science/Management, Engineering, or equivalent field
- PMP Certification
- Skilled with project management software (Excel, P6, MS Project, EcoSys, etc.)
- Strong organizational, analytical, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize assignments
- Management and supervision skills
- High sense of integrity and strong analytical/problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of applicable municipal, state, and federal legislation
