Manage a physical design team focused on substation projects, with about 70% project work and 30% management. Responsibilities include monitoring budgets and schedules, assigning resources, leading and mentoring team members, and collaborating with clients and other design teams. Required skills include a thorough understanding of high voltage transmission substation equipment, problem-solving abilities, and software proficiency. Duties encompass project estimates, technical oversight of deliverables, and maintaining quality standards in project execution.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of high voltage transmission substation outdoor equipment.
- Aptitude for developing strong working relationships with Senior Management, Program Manager, Project Manager, Group Leads, and Design Staff.
- Willingness to develop, promote, and comply with Mesa quality and safety requirements.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and specific technical applications.
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to identify, analyze, and solve technical problems related to substation design.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with direction.
