Job Summary
Conduct conceptual and detailed HV and MV substation physical and electrical design, including layout, electrical arrangement, one-line, and grounding drawings. Perform engineering studies and calculations, create and review bills of materials, and develop project proposals and scopes of work. Lead client meetings and assume technical leadership roles on projects with limited guidance while executing Quality Control reviews. Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced engineers to support their professional development. Requires a P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months, proficiency in AutoCAD, and experience with CDEGS. Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant engineering experience in Substation Physical Design
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
- Proficiency in using industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD
- Experience with grounding studies/lightning protection and lighting studies
- Experience with bus calculation
- Experience with CDEGS
