Job Summary
Conduct conceptual and detailed HV and MV substation physical and electrical design, including layout, one-line drawings, grounding studies, and AC/DC system plans. Perform engineering calculations, quality control reviews, and bill of materials creation for substation projects. Lead client meetings and develop project scopes while serving as a technical lead on assignments with limited guidance. Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and recommend training needs. Requires a P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months, proficiency in AutoCAD, and experience with CDEGS and bus calculations. Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant engineering experience in Substation Physical Design
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
- Proficiency in using industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD
- Experience with grounding studies/lightning protection and lighting studies
- Experience with bus calculation
- Experience with CDEGS
- This is not a remote position
