Job Summary
Collaborate with engineers on high and extra high voltage substation design to prepare General Arrangement, Electrical Equipment Plans, Section Views, Detailed Bills of Material, Lightning Stroke Shielding Plans, Grounding Plans, and conduit details. Interpret vendor information into design deliverables and conduct walkdowns at client substation facilities. Requires a minimum of 6 years of substation physical design experience, proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation, and familiarity with Bentley Substation Design. This hybrid role involves three days in the office and two days remote. A generous relocation package is available for eligible candidates.
Required Qualifications
- An Associate's Degree in Drafting, and/or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology, and/or a high school diploma and 3 or more years drafting course work or equivalent technical experience
- A minimum of 6 years of substation physical design experience
- Proficient with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Familiar with Bentley Substation Design
- Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
