Job Summary
Prepare substation drawings including General Arrangement, Electrical Equipment Plans, Section Views, Bill of Material, Lightning Stroke Shielding Plan, Grounding Plan, and conduit details. Interpret vendor information into design deliverables and perform walkdowns at client facilities while applying client standards. Work within a project team environment with engineers and other designers on high and extra high voltage substation projects. This hybrid role requires 3 years of substation physical design experience and proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of substation physical design experience
- An Associate's Degree in Drafting, or a high school diploma and 2 or more years drafting course work or equivalent technical experience
- Proficient with AutoCAD and MicroStation
- Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer
