Job Summary
Create and modify detailed Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawings of substations based on sketches or specifications, including one-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction submission packages. Assist engineers with shop drawing reviews, conduct quality checks on final layouts, and organize project files and CAD document archives. Maintain accurate file management and schedules while providing basic CAD-related technical support. This entry-level role requires a high school diploma or associate's degree in drafting or engineering technology, with 0-1 years of experience. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD or similar applications and possess strong organizational skills to work remotely with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Associate's degree in Computer Aided Design/Drafting, Engineering Technology, or relevant CAD Certifications
- 0-1 years of experience in drafting or related fields (entry-level candidates with strong technical training will be considered)
- Experience with AutoCAD or other similar applications, design, or modeling skills and/or design principles and practices
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Access
- Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision
