Substation Engineer (with Revit)

Job Summary
Design and develop High Voltage Substations up to 500kV by collaborating with cross-functional teams including Civil and Structural engineers. Perform modeling and CAD activities in Autocad, Revit, and Microstation to produce technical drawings, specifications, and reports adhering to IEC/IEEE/ANSI/AS standards. Prepare Single Line Diagrams, equipment layouts, cable sizing, and earthing designs while staying updated on industry trends and regulations. Support senior engineers in project development and ensure compliance with best practices. Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 2+ years of T&D Substation experience, and proficiency in Revit and BIM360.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Power Engineering
- Minimum 2 years professional experience in T&D Substation design
- Strong knowledge of Autocad 2D and 3D software
- Good knowledge of Revit, BIM360
- Advanced English language skills
- Good knowledge of MV and HV systems: Substation Equipment, Fittings and Assemblies for HV conductors (Compression join bolted assemblies & bolted Tee Clamps / Dropper supports / Conductor Spacers & Earth Stirrups / Adaptor Plates / Earthing Termination / Fittings for Tubular busbars)
- Good people and communication skills and ability to interact with project team members
- All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Good knowledge of Bentley Microstation software
- Advanced level in Revit
- Knowledge of ETAP and 3D software is an advantage
- Practical working experience with different international clients, involvement in international projects dedicated to substations in Romania and abroad at different voltage levels (from 22kV up to 500kV)
