Job Summary
Substation Design Engineer needed for multiple US locations. Responsibilities include conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of new, upgraded and expanded substations, including material procurement, construction and commissioning/startup support through energization. Engineering duties cover development and delivery of physical, electrical, civil and communication design studies, calculations, drawings, exhibits and specifications. Under supervision of a project engineer, design engineers assist in coordinating, ensuring quality, and overseeing designers and support staff. Collaboration with subject-matter groups (Distribution/Transmission Studies, Grounding, Protection/Relay, Civil, SCADA/Communication, Transmission & Distribution) is expected. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, strong communication, organization, teamwork, and a commitment to quality. Encouraged progression toward PE licensure. Occasional travel and client-mandated background checks may apply. Sponsorship for employment visas is not required now or in the future. Salary is commensurate with experience and education. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering required
- design engineering experience is a plus
- excellent verbal and written communication skills

- willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules
- progress towards PE licensure encouraged
