Job Summary
Ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards throughout construction projects while providing hands-on supervision. Conduct daily inspections and collaborate with project managers, contractors, and engineering teams. Responsible for overseeing construction practices, maintaining communication with client parties, and protecting client assets. Requires a degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, with detailed knowledge of utility substation construction practices and a minimum of 10 years in the electrical utility transmission and distribution field.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in the electrical utility transmission and distribution field
- Strong background in utility construction related to power transmission and distribution
- Ability to inspect all aspects of substation construction
- Ability to read plans and specifications: schematic diagrams, electrical diagrams, metering diagrams, and equipment operation and maintenance manuals
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of electrical and/or civil related construction methodologies
- Strong management, coordination, and communication abilities
- Proven leadership experience
- Safety-minded with a thorough understanding of construction site protocols
- Data collection, management, and analysis skills and experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
