Job Summary

Commissioning Engineers assist in testing and commissioning substation protection and control systems, collaborating with teams to ensure project success. Role may involve extensive outdoor conditions and physical activity, including lifting and prolonged standing.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 1-5 years of experience in the power industry, preferred
  • Troubleshooting skills in protection and control, automation, HMI, or relay networks
  • Excellent listening, reading, communication (technical, written, & verbal), attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Desire to continuously gain understanding of power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution
  • Willingness to travel to different job sites for extended periods, preferred
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainable solutions

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Must have clear vision (with or without corrective lenses) for close work and distance judgment.
  • Adequate hearing and speech for communicating in noisy environments and hearing site safety instructions.
