Job Summary
Conduct daily care and support for members served, ensuring safety through monitoring, observation, and completing related documentation. Facilitate admissions, discharge, and transportation logistics by verifying passes, driving the program van, and assisting with appointments. Monitor medication, collect urine samples, and engage members in program schedules and community groups. Provide crisis intervention using CPI principles while maintaining facility rounds and mealtime assistance. Serve as a liaison between members, families, medical practitioners, and criminal justice agencies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician (RADT) as approved by DHCS the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA)
- Demonstrated sensitivity to behavioral health issues and multi-cultural populations (e.g., exposure through family relationships, volunteering, or other previous experience(s) or coursework)
- Strong focus and passion to provide excellent customer service
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment
- Must evade members served in the event of assaultive behavior and pass assault crisis/crisis prevention training
- Valid driver's license
- Motor vehicle clearance
- Proof of auto insurance
- Acceptable criminal background clearances

- Ability to drive Program van
- Ability to drive own vehicle
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing 25 pounds or less
- Ability to sit, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, push, pull
- Ability to frequently walk, stand, twist, reach, and do simple and power grasping
- Ability to be exposed to uneven walking ground
- Ability to be exposed to hazardous exposure (blood borne pathogens, hospital waste, chemicals, and infections)
- Ability to collect urine samples from members served
- Ability to conduct individual, group, and family sessions
- Ability to adhere to 42 CFR policies and all other Telecare policies and procedures
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of CPI principles and techniques
- Ability to understand assessment tools and Harm Reduction Model
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year practical experience in drug and alcohol or mental health field preferred; internship, employment, or volunteer work
- Prefer Bilingual Spanish
