Job Summary
Conduct screenings and facilitate linkage to substance use disorder treatment providers for Dependency Drug Court participants. Maintain ongoing communication with providers, social workers, and court representatives while attending all Dependency Drug Court sessions. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to plan monthly program activities and accurately complete progress notes in the mHOMS electronic health record system. Follow up on treatment issues raised during court sessions and utilize a trauma-informed, culturally respectful approach in independent decision-making across various court sites. Requires valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and successful completion of background, fingerprinting, TB, and drug screenings.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
- Registered in the state of California as a SUD Counselor
- Ability to be registered within 30 days of hire
- Actively working towards certification
- 1 year related experience
- Equivalent experience in substance abuse and/or counseling
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation with a good driving record
- Willingness to use own, properly insured, reliable vehicle for the job
- Successful completion of background fingerprinting checks
- Successful completion of driving record check
- Successful completion of tuberculosis testing
- Successful completion of drug testing
- Successful completion of criminal background checks
- Successful completion of employment verification
- Successful completion of reference checks
