Job Summary
Clinician on an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team delivering intensive, recovery-oriented substance use treatment to adults living with serious mental illness. Provides assessment, service planning, supportive counseling, independent living skills training, case management, crisis intervention, and coordination with SUPR and ACT team members. Applies recovery and harm reduction principles, facilitates referrals, supports housing and ADLs, and participates in 24/7 on-call coverage. Requires a Masters degree (or CADC where applicable), 1-2 years of relevant experience, and a valid Illinois driver’s license. Travel to Chicagoland area for in-home and community-based services is expected; role based in Arlington Heights, IL. Kept in line with ACT fidelity and inter-team coordination with agency policies and documentation requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Preferred Masters Degree in social work, psychology or related discipline; CADC certification considered
- 1-2 years experience with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness and co-occurring substance use issues
- CADC certification preferred
- Valid IL Driver’s License and daily access to a vehicle
- Proficiency in Word/Internet/MS Teams
- Exempt, Full-Time; 37.5 hour work week; flexible schedule including evenings/weekends
