Job Summary
Conduct individual and group counseling sessions, facilitate education, and support clients through phases of substance use disorder treatment within residential or outpatient settings. Perform screening, assessment, and engagement while developing treatment plans and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Advocate for clients on case and community levels, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and agency certification standards. Participate in staffing meetings and uphold professional ethical responsibilities. Requires Missouri SUD counselor certification, relevant credentials such as CADC or CCDP, and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Required Qualifications
- Certified SUD Counselor
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Must be certified or registered through the Missouri Credentialing Board
- Relevant credentials: CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, or RADC-P
- Co-Occurring Disorder Professional
- Must be certified through the Missouri Credentialing Board
- Relevant credentials: CCDP or CCDP-D
- Licensed/provisionally licensed with one year of SUD treatment experience
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of diagnostic criteria sets for substance use and/or mental disorders
- Orally communicate information effectively and accurately
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher (for Co-Occurring Disorder Professional role)
- High School diploma or HiSet certificate and at least four years of applicable SUD experience (alternative path for SUD Counselor)
- High School diploma or HiSet certificate and at least four years of applicable SUD experience (alternative path for Co-Occurring Disorder Professional)
