Job Summary
Conduct nursing practices and procedures relative to substance use addiction services and medicine, providing direct patient care to individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction. Manage detoxification protocols while maintaining familiarity with treatment modalities. Work the night shift from 10:30 PM to 7 AM at Jessup Correctional Institution in Maryland. Maintain an active Maryland LPN license, CPR/BLS certification, and obtain necessary security clearances.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed LPN with an active license to practice in Maryland
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility
- Two years of experience working as an LPN
- Corrections experience
