Job Summary
Provide specialized services to clients who are chemically dependent and/or their significant others; conduct initial substance abuse assessment services to all clients on team; provide individual, group, and family substance abuse treatment and counseling; coordinate referrals to other substance abuse treatment programs or facilities; educate and train team personnel; develop and implement person-centered recovery plans; coordinate discharge planning and aftercare; monitor psychiatric functioning and medication regimens; assist with income maintenance, housing, nutrition, and employment; provide transportation as needed; complete clinical documentation and billing; coordinate medical, dental and psychiatric services; promote Thrive’s guiding principles and professional ethics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in behavioral health field or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Two (2) years of relevant substance abuse experience
- CDP or working toward credentialing
- LCDP preferred
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance which meets Rhode Island minimum standards required, or the ability to obtain necessary transportation
