Job Summary
Substance Use Disorder Counselor at BAART Programs provides individual counseling for patients with opioid use disorder in an outpatient clinic. Responsibilities include conducting initial assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations, developing and reviewing treatment plans, delivering direct counseling, coordinating services with doctors and nurses, involving families in recovery when possible, responding to patient grievances, and developing aftercare and discharge plans. Must hold Colorado licensure (LAC/CAS/CAT/LPCC) and bring strong communication skills and experience in counseling and treatment planning.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold an LAC, CAS, CAT, or LPCC in the state of Colorado
- Two years of counseling experience preferred
- Ability to develop comprehensive treatment plans and chart accurately
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
