Job Summary
Coordinate inpatient substance use disorder services; conduct screenings and comprehensive assessments; develop and implement individualized intervention, placement, and discharge plans; collaborate with interdisciplinary hospital staff and community resources; provide crisis intervention and counseling; refer patients to detoxification, treatment programs, social services, and recovery resources; maintain documentation and participate in patient care conferences; ensure continuity of care and recovery efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A., B.S. or related field)
- Master's Degree (M.A., M.S. or related field)
- 4 years experience in addiction services or related field with LBSW/LMSW/LPC/LAC/LCAC/LAC/LCAC substitutions as allowed
- Licenses and Certifications: Licensed Master's Addiction Counselor - KSBSRB, Licensed Addiction Counselor - KSBSRB, Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor - KSBSRB, Licensed Bachelor Social Worker - KSBSRB, Licensed Masters Social Worker - KSBSRB, Licensed Masters Level Psychologist - KSBSRB, Licensed Professional Counselor - KSBSRB
- Experience in substance use disorder cases, assessments, and referrals to all levels of treatments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of documentation and confidentiality standards
- Ability to coordinate placement and discharge planning
- Crisis intervention and counseling skills
