Job Summary
Assess strengths and needs of individuals seeking support for substance use disorder and perform level of care assessments for treatment placement. Carry out group and individual SUD psychotherapy while maintaining timely and accurate documentation of client contacts. Coordinate resources and services, conduct routine outreach to referrals and those experiencing treatment lapses, and build relationships with community partners to expand the referral base. Attend team meetings, collaborate with behavioral medicine teams, and lead cross-systems activities to strengthen community connections. Meet billing productivity requirements and operate in an Internet-based office environment. Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors II and III earn between $23.11 and $27.08 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- License to perform SUD psychotherapy issued by the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board
- Bachelor's Degree or 3 years related experience in the field
- Demonstrated high degree of cultural awareness
- Experience with multi-need individuals and families
- Broad knowledge of community service systems
- Willing to participate in and lead cross-systems team-building activities
- Able to effectively communicate through verbal/written expression
- Must be able to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment
