Job Summary
Conduct individual, group, or family counseling sessions, facilitate assigned sessions to modify problem behaviors, and perform initial and follow-up assessments for patients. Prepare individual treatment plans, evaluate patient needs for referrals, and provide crisis intervention and aftercare planning. Manage case duties, act as a liaison with insurance carriers, and ensure timely, clear documentation of all patient care and incidents. Assist in training new clinical staff and interns while maintaining a positive, empathetic attitude and prioritizing patient safety.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social or health services field
- Four or more years' experience in counseling field
- Bachelor's degree in other field
- Six or more years' experience in the counseling field
- Master's degree in social or health services field
- Two or more years' experience in the counseling field
- Degree must be from an accredited college or university
- Licensure or certification for counseling
- CPR certification
- De-escalation/restraint certification
- First aid
- Completion of ongoing education and training
