Substance Abuse Counselor Trainee/Counselor

Conduct individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination, then facilitate, establish, and review initial treatment plans with each patient. Involve families and significant others in the patient's recovery process whenever possible, while responding to grievances and complaints as needed. Develop aftercare and discharge plans, and collaborate with doctors, nurses, and therapists to ensure the best overall treatment outcome. Earn $44,000–$80,000 annualized as a non-exempt, overtime-eligible role. Requires ADT, CAC-AD, CSC-AD, LCPC, LCSW, LGADC, or LCADC licensure from the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists, plus a satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.
