Job Summary
Counseling and case management of clients enrolled in the program. Deliver individual and group substance abuse counseling services and educational activities, provide counseling for psychological distress, conduct urine testing, and create opportunities for GED and education through on-site and community resources. Establish formal linkages with community providers for services including basic needs, legal and family matters, transportation, health care, mental health services, and vocational/educational needs. Maintain client treatment files and participate in staff training. Perform daily shift exchanges and document in facility logs. Embrace the WestCare mission and perform other duties as assigned. Requires knowledge of chemical dependency and confidentiality, strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to obtain required clearances and vaccinations.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years of full-time experience of counseling duties with a criminal justice population in a substance use disorder program.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
