Job Summary
Part-time Substance Abuse Counselor responsible for assessing client needs in a Residential Treatment environment, providing interventions, crisis management, and maintaining program integrity.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current registration and enrollment in a state-recognized chemical dependency counselor certification program
- Six months of substance abuse or related field experience
- Valid CA drivers license
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Medication training
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of the philosophy and approach of the 12-step model of recovery
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with crisis management
