Job Summary
Lead individual and group counseling sessions tailored to personalized treatment plans while maintaining crisp, accurate documentation and tracking client progress in the agency database. Champion the clinical team by guiding hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance evaluations, and serve as a steady lifeline during crises for both therapists and clients. Continuously elevate the program by assessing outcomes, identifying improvements, and turning data into actionable insights to enhance services and meet funding requirements. Stay current with treatment techniques, justice-system updates, and community resources through ongoing training and workshops.
Required Qualifications
- Valid DC clinical license (CAC I, CAC II, LPC, LISAC, LCSW, etc.)
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience
- 5+ years working in behavioral health and SUD programs
- Hands-on experience in assessment, treatment, level of care decisions, and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Strong toolkit of counseling approaches and diagnostic skills
- Ability to apply theories and techniques to diverse clients, including those with co-occurring disorders
- Curious, research-loving mindset
- Belief in strength-based care
- Solid familiarity with ASAM, ICD-10, and DSM criteria
- Ability to use ASAM, ICD-10, and DSM criteria confidently in clinical decision-making
