Job Summary
The Counselor III is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing complex treatment plans, and providing counseling services to clients with dual diagnoses. The role includes acting as a professional resource for resolving complex case issues, overseeing counselors in the absence of a supervisor, and developing training for treatment staff. Successful candidates require a Master’s degree in a related field, a current Texas professional license, and have a minimum of 4 years of clinical experience, preferably in substance abuse treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field
- Current professional license in the state of Texas as a LCSW, LPC, LPCA, or LMSW
Desired Qualifications
- 4 years clinical experience in substance abuse and dual diagnoses preferred
- Previous work experience in a corrections environment
