Job Summary
Provide substance abuse counseling and recovery skills training to offenders in a residential/outpatient treatment facility; coordinate with multiple departments to implement treatment plans, maintain case files, screen and evaluate offenders, develop and submit reports, and participate in team-based treatment activities in compliance with MTC and TDCJ directives.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED
- Current letter of registration as a Counselor Intern from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) or current valid CCJP-A certification
- Must obtain LCDC license or CCJP certification within five years
- Valid driver’s license in Texas with acceptable driving record
