Substance Abuse Counselor (Cherokee, NC) – Youth Residential Program

Job Summary
Deliver individual and group substance abuse counseling services to enrolled students while developing alcohol, drug, and tobacco prevention programming. Engage with youth in residential and common areas, collaborate with interdisciplinary staff, and support student development through healthy coping skills and relapse prevention. Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed, develop individualized case management plans, and maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in an on-site residential program in Cherokee, NC, with part-time availability up to 20 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- active and valid Substance Abuse Counseling certification in the State of North Carolina like Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or any other related certification
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing substance abuse or behavioral health services to adolescents or young adults
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
