Job Summary
Conduct alcohol and drug abuse counseling sessions, including individual, group, and crisis intervention services, while orienting new patients to program operations. Develop and revise formal treatment plans, collect assessment data, and document all patient contacts and progress reviews. Provide intake, readmission, and discharge follow-up services, coordinate care with community providers, and submit inter-agency reports for reimbursement. Assist the Program Director in implementing new programs, lead weekly treatment team meetings, and deliver in-service training to team members. Maintain complete patient records, comply with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, and adhere to established work schedules and attendance standards.

- LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
- LMFT (License Marriage and Family Therapist)
- enrolled in, or willing to begin, a formal course of study or track toward licensure at the date of hire

- Ability to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and understanding of human behavior to show potential for rehabilitating drug dependent patients
- Must have sufficient knowledge of the substance abuse population, treatment planning and the field of human social services to work toward the rehabilitation of the patient community
- Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes
- Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc.
- Prolonged sitting, bending, stooping, or stretching
- Variable workload, periodic high stress and activity level
- Standard medical office conditions and environments
- Interactions with patients who may be ill, have infectious diseases, have mental health diagnoses and/or are involved in the criminal justice system
- Keyboarding for long periods of time
- Meet BHG attendance standards and be present and ready for work at the beginning of established work schedule
- Must comply with federal and state regulations regarding certification, licensure, and degree
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
