Job Summary
Conduct individual and group counseling for patients recovering from drug use and alcohol disorders, guiding them through intake and orientation while building trusting relationships. Develop, update, and maintain individualized treatment plans and accurate patient records by collecting information on social, educational, economic, and vocational needs. Connect patients with community resources, follow up on referrals, and respond to crisis situations with compassion while complying with all regulatory requirements. Manage documentation in a fast-paced clinical environment involving prolonged standing and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in behavioral health
- Ability to make decisions and use proper judgment with confidential and sensitive issues
- Ability to deal appropriately with patients and team members in stressful or other undesirable situations and to seek direction from supervisors when necessary
- Ability to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and understanding of human behavior to show potential for rehabilitating drug dependent patients
- Knowledge of the substance abuse population, treatment planning, and the field of human social services to work toward the rehabilitation of the patient community
