Substance Abuse Counselor - Assistant (CDCA, LCDC required)

Job Summary
Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to clients. Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans, and participate in team meetings, case consultations, and clinical supervision. Provide crisis intervention and support, coordinating resources to ensure client safety, and advocate for diverse client needs within the organization and community. Work Monday through Friday from 11:30am to 8:00pm in a fast-paced environment, managing caseloads and engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Current CDCA, LCDC II/III, LICDC or higher-level certification
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Ability to stay current with the latest research and best practices
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to seek supervision and consultation when needed
- Strong organizational skills
