Job Summary

Conduct Substance Abuse and Suicide Prevention training for Army National Guard units, coordinating quality checks, shipping Unit Risk Inventories, and entering critical incidents into the CIMS within 48 hours. Manage Substance Abuse referred Soldier cases from initial referral to final disposition, including scheduling assessments, tracking progress, and documenting communications in internal databases. Serve on the Commander's Readiness and Resiliency Council and maintain relationships with community-based providers while submitting weekly and monthly reports to the Risk Reduction Coordinator. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of prevention experience; weekend availability and in-state travel are required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Social Science or related field
  • 3 – 5 years of practical experience in the Substance Abuse Prevention, Suicide Prevention or Resiliency field
  • Strong and professional instruction and briefing skills which demonstrate flexibility with various audiences
  • Ability to work a variable schedule as duties require, including some of the weekends that State units are conducting training
