Job Summary
Coordinate Substance Abuse Prevention and Suicide Prevention trainings for Army National Guard units, serve as a case manager for referred Soldiers, input training and incident data into DAMIS and CIMS, generate weekly/monthly reports to the Risk Reduction Coordinator, and maintain relationships with unit commanders and community providers. Responsibilities include delivering SAP/SP/Bystander trainings, managing Unit Risk Inventory and Risk Mitigation Plans, tracking progress with soldiers, conducting follow-ups, and ensuring documentation is current in internal systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science or related field
- 3 – 5 years of practical experience in the Substance Abuse Prevention, Suicide Prevention or Resiliency field
- Strong and professional instruction and briefing skills
- Ability to work a variable schedule, including some weekends
- Experience working with military populations (preferred)
- Willingness to travel: In-state travel is required
- Experience with program coordination and case management (implied in responsibilities)
