Job Summary
Coordinate Substance Abuse Prevention and Suicide Prevention training for Army National Guard units; serve as a Substance Abuse Prevention Trainer and Case Manager, establishing relationships with State Points of Contact, implementing program goals, and conducting SAP and SP/By-stander trainings. Manage Unit Risk Inventory, input training data into DAMIS and CIMS, track progress, provide weekly/monthly reports to the Risk Reduction Coordinator, and travel for in-state trainings. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a social science or related field and 3–5 years of experience in prevention or resiliency fields; strong instruction/briefing skills and flexibility with schedules are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science or related field
- 3 – 5 years of practical experience in the Substance Abuse Prevention, Suicide Prevention or Resiliency field
- Strong instruction and briefing skills
- Ability to work a variable schedule including some weekends
- Experience working with military populations (preferred)
