Job Summary
In the role of Subsea Flexible System Design Engineer, you will design and analyze flexible pipe systems while performing dynamic simulations to assess system behavior in offshore scenarios. Responsibilities include configuring pipe systems, building simulations, analyzing extreme and fatigue loads, and ensuring system integrity through in-place global analyses. Candidates should hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a relevant engineering field with a solid understanding of structural dynamics and fluid mechanics. Proficiency with data models and engineering processes is essential.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or similar
- Strong foundation on structural dynamics, fluid dynamics, mechanics, numerical simulation
- Comfortable working with data, models, and engineering assumptions in a structured way
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Desired Qualifications
- OrcaFlex or other dynamic simulation tools
- Experience from offshore/subsea engineering, oil & gas, offshore wind, or marine structures
- Familiarity with offshore/subsea standards (API/DNV)
- Basic scripting/programming for engineering workflows (e.g., Python/VBA)
- Previous experience in multidisciplinary teams or international environments
