Job Summary
Adjudicate complex auto and workers' compensation subrogation claims, negotiating settlements and managing litigation to resolve generalized issues. Coordinate legal and expert resources, prepare file documentation, and report claims trends to senior management. Act as a resource for claims adjusters by answering subrogation questions and applying creative solutions to achieve the best financial outcomes. Manage daily tasks to ensure timely resolution while articulating the financial value of work to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Must have good business acumen (i.e. understand how an insurance company works and makes money, including how this role impacts both Argo Group and our customers' ability to be profitable)
- A practical knowledge of adjudicating subrogation claims
- An exceptional customer service focus
- A minimum of two years of adjudicating auto or workers' compensation claims
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Four additional years of related claims experience beyond the minimum experience required above may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Must work independently and demonstrate the ability to exercise sound judgment
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships
- Excellent evaluation and analytical skills
- Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize workload while handling multiple tasks and deadlines
- Ability to articulate the financial value of your work at multiple responsibility levels inside our clients' business which may include CEO
- Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance
- The ability to read and write English fluently
- Must demonstrate a desire for continued professional development through continuing education and self-development opportunities

Desired Qualifications
- Having an appreciation and passion for strong claim management
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and other business-related software
- Experience with URS Reinsurance Accounting System
- Polished and professional written and verbal communication skills
