Job Summary
Conduct investigations to determine subrogation potential and pursue recoveries by contacting outside parties, negotiating settlements, and directing legal action or arbitration when necessary. Prepare documentation and manage in-office mail for unsettled claims, maintaining active diaries to ensure all claims are aggressively pursued while coordinating with attorneys, clients, and collection agencies. Manage an inventory of claims covering coverage, auto, and property damage, performing record-keeping to maintain current status in documents and notes. Actively contribute to continuous improvement in claims handling processes and meet KPIs for customer satisfaction, financial performance, and cycle time.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of claims experience
- Claims handling or collections
- Fast-paced and changing environment
- Multitasking and time management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills
- Phone handling skills
- Proficient analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills
