Job Summary
Submarine Waterfront Representative (Platform Mechanical) acts as a vital conduit between the submarine waterfront, maintenance environments, and shipbuilders to embed maintainability and supportability into future submarine platform design. The role requires substantial submarine waterfront experience, a strong understanding of submarine systems and maintenance environments, and the ability to influence design decisions using operational insight. You will engage with internal and external stakeholders (shipbuilders, OEMs, customers), contribute to supportability assessments, and provide evidence-based engineering input to programme-level decision making. The position is based at multiple UK sites (Plymouth, Bristol, Cumbria, Leicester or Clyde) with hybrid working arrangements (minimum 2 days on site). Security clearance is required. Required Qualifications
- HND or Foundation Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline
- Security Clearance
- substantial submarine waterfront experience across multiple maintenance or delivery programmes
- strong understanding of submarine systems support, deep maintenance or commissioning environments
- experience influencing design or engineering decisions using operational insight
