Job Summary
Submarine Test and Evaluation Analyst for the Signal and Systems Analysis Group (FPS/KTA) evaluates developmental submarine technologies at multiple system levels, defines analysis methodologies and performance measures, applies data analytics and systems engineering techniques (submarine mission operations, sound propagation, target motion analysis), communicates methodologies and results to sponsors, plans and directs in-lab and at-sea test events, coordinates with Navy teams, and creates reports detailing key findings for stakeholders. The role collaborates with researchers, developers, engineers, and Fleet personnel to influence Navy submarine tactical capabilities and future equipment development. Minimum BS in Engineering with submarine experience required; MS highly preferred. Willingness to travel and ability to obtain required security clearances are essential. Salary range: $100,000–$245,000 annually; relocation benefits available.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
- Submarine Warfare qualified and/or extensive relevant experience in submarine tactical systems operation and training with sonar, electronic warfare, imaging systems
- willingness to travel occasionally (1-2 years at sea)
- Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance and potentially Top Secret clearance
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and plan test events
- Experience with data collection and analysis methods
