Job Summary
Conduct preliminary and advanced design studies to solve complex analytical, design, and test problems while contributing to systems philosophy and design objectives. Write specifications and engineering reports based on special investigations and maintain system integrity and interoperability between networks and higher command. Provide technical guidance on capabilities, requirements, integration, and data packages for the NW system, including SDKs, APIs, and ATAK analytics. Enable TSO capabilities on the NW platform, assist with the RMF process, and act as the primary liaison to the Project Manager Close Combat Systems and Product Manager Terrain Shaping Obstacles. Execute all activities with minimal supervision, requiring a DOD Secret clearance and relevant experience in tactical networking and battle command systems.
Required Qualifications
- DOD Security clearance
- proof of U.S. Citizenship
- DOD secret security clearance
- High School diploma and 14 years of experience
- Associate's degree and 12 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of experience
- Master's degree in a related field and no experience
- Ability to plan for and execute the Army's current tactical network environment, including software-defined tactical radio systems
- Experience with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of these networks
- Experience in using Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK)
- Experience with Army Battle Command Systems; NW, JBC-P, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- A background in planning and operational military tactical networking including battle command platforms and transport layers
- Experience with Close Terrain Shaping Obstacles
- Certification in network administration
- Background in Radio Frequency knowledge
- Experience with military software and System of System testing
