Job Summary
Experienced Auto Technician to diagnose, repair, and test vehicles in Schlossmann Subaru City’s Milwaukee service department. Responsibilities include performing repairs per repair orders, test-driving vehicles, diagnosing and repairing engine, electrical, transmission, and other systems, communicating with Service Advisors about needed services, and providing time estimates for additional repairs. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and the ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment. Strong customer-service orientation, teamwork, and willingness to learn new vehicle technologies are important.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Experience preferred
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Communicate with Service Advisor about additional services and provide estimates
- Perform work per repair order and dealership policies
- Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components and systems
