Prepare and serve meals conforming to menus, ensuring accuracy in weighing, measuring, and portioning while maintaining proper food storage, handling, and fire safety practices. Plan and initiate weekly learning activities for children, coordinate with the Nutrition Coordinator on substitutions and emergencies, and involve parents in local nutrition program planning and education. Manage food and supply receiving systems, maintain accurate monthly equipment and food inventory, and submit meal inventories by the fifth of each month. Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen, dining, and storage areas while coordinating volunteer programs and participating in weekly staff meetings.
