Job Summary
Read and analyze assembly and electrical prints or bills of material to fit and assemble mechanical and/or electrical components according to specifications. Install wiring, electrical components, and panels while verifying conformance of parts using proper tools. Communicate with Leaders regarding build issues and documentation. Requires a technical degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or one year of related experience, plus basic math skills and hand tool proficiency. Must be 18 years old to operate equipment. This role supports BW Converting's manufacturing of high-performance converting and packaging machinery for the tissue, nonwovens, hygiene, and printing industries.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 18 years old at the time of hire to operate equipment
- Must have a mechanical aptitude
- some electrical knowledge
- Ability to assemble both mechanical and electrical components according to prints and sketches
- Possess the written, verbal, and interaction skills necessary to work both independently and cooperatively
- Possess basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
- Possess appropriate hand tools
- Must be able to lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs
- Applicants may be subject to pre-employment screening which may include drug screening
