Job Summary
Provide a variety of hair services, including cuts, colors, and styling, while developing a deep understanding of color theory to create custom palettes. Demonstrate exceptional customer service and effectively market your services and the salon. Maintain a clean workspace, stay up-to-date with industry trends, and use salon software to manage appointments, track client records, and manage inventory levels. Perform hair threading services with precision and collaborate with other stylists to create a cohesive environment. This role offers flexibility to set your own schedule and unlimited unpaid time off. Voss Salon provides access to ongoing education courses to enhance skills and stay current with the latest trends.
Required Qualifications
- A current Cosmetology License
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
- Applicants must be authorized to live and work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Barbering License
- Existing clientele to fulfil minimum requirements of 15 paid guests in first 30 days, 10 retail products sold per month, and 50% pre-booking average
- Strong understanding of color theory and its practical applications
- Successfully complete 30 and 60 day performance and educational milestones
- Experience with retail math to manage inventory and cash handling effectively
- Proficiency with salon software for managing appointments and client records
- Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and teamwork
